G + 3 Tsunami Housing Scheme – Negombo
This is a Tsunami Housing Project done for the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS) International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) & Red Crescent Societies at Negombo, Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. It involved construction of 9 Nos. 4 storied building blocks with 72 housing Units in a 3-Acre land area (with mechanical, electrical, plumbing & drainage). It has its own tarred road network with 9m wide access road and 4.5 m wide internal roads. The water supply scheme consists of a 300,000 L ground storage tank and 75,000 L overhead water tank with distribution lines to all the blocks. The housing scheme is also provided with a Central Biological Sewerage Treatment Plant designed to Sri Lanka Central Environmental Authority for treating the waste water before it is discharged to natural drainage system.
