DH Wijewardene Associates formed in 1991 by experienced professionals to carry out consulting services in building projects.

The office is located in our own spacious, building with all necessary facilities at Kohuwala, 10km from Colombo City. Since its inception the company has served many private and public sector Organizations.

DH Wijewardene Associates is recognized as a Consultancy Practice by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and also by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, IESL for Training of Engineers in Designing work for obtaining their professional Charter. The combination of two experienced professionals in the allied fields has created a well-balanced consultancy service.  Our services cover the entire spectrum of projects such as personalised housing, housing projects, schools, hospitals, Banks, Civic buildings.

We have achieved a reputation for both Design and Project Management by providing clients a complete consortium consultancy service where they will be served from the inception to the final completion of the project. We have also earned a satisfactory status in doing design and build projects by playing the designers role along with contractors or property developers effectively.

Architect D.H.Wijewardene graduated from the University of Moratuwa and is currently a Fellow Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. He is also a Certificate Holder of Project Management Course conducted by Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. He has served in the capacity of Senior Architect and Junior Architect in M/s Design Consortium Ltd & M/s Mihindu Keerthirathna Associates respectively prior to forming his own practice. In 2008 he headed the Peer Review Team for the Proposed Airport projects in Muscat & in Salala in Oman for Larsen & Covi JV Consultancy Firm in Oman. As the founder & the Chief Architect of the Company, he headed the design & Project Management Team of all the Major Projects.

In addition to the professional carrier he served in the University of Sri Jayawardenapura as a visiting lecturer and currently he holds the similar position in the City School of Architecture in Colombo 07.

He is the Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects for the session 2015-2016.

SURIYA ARACHCHIGE LESLIE BENEDICT SILVA is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. With an initial career as a Project Engineer, he was the Engineer in charge of the Bowatenna Diversion Unit of Mahaweli Development Board of Sri Lanka. In 1983 he joined an American Consultancy firm as a structural engineer in Saudi Arabia for the ministry of interior. The projects that came under his purview are major towns such as Arar and Al Kafji, where the cost ran in to several millions of dollars.

On his return, he became the Maintenance Engineer of Nestle Lanka limited in their factory at Pannala. During this period he associated leading consultancy firms in Sri Lanka.

In May 2004 he joined DH Wijewardene Associates and became a partner who looks after the engineering aspects in the consultancy work. Among many projects that he was involved, Udappuwatta Housing Project done for International Federation of Red Cross, Central Bus Stand Galle for the Ministry of Economic Development, 500 Housing units for Urban Poor under the Ministry of Defence and Urban development are worth mentioning.
